Letters from Exile: The Raymond Luc
Levasseur Web Page "Party Comrades!! Cest moi- Citizen Nick
Velvet!! Still 1/8 of a ton, but no longer (sigh)
Radio Romeo. As my legions of fans know, for many years I did a
regular feature on WORT about US held political prisoners, and
very often I would read excerpts from letters by Ray Luc
Levasseur, letters written in the most techno-fascist prisons
this Empire has built. I have a website for Ray now, & invite
your perusal. If you think these essays will help your political
work, feel free to use them. If you are dying for my wit &
wisdom, drop me some binary lines at neoludd@earthlink.net and
pay yer pledges!! WORT is a RARE TREASURE!!!!"

National
Federation of Community Broadcasters
"Nearly 20 years ago on a hot, muggy day in Madison,
Wisconsin, in the basement meeting room of the YMCA, a small
group of 25 visionaries and counter culture types gathered to
ponder the future of community radio.... The group produced a
resolution to develop a national organization representing
community broadcasters. Several months later the National
Federation of Community Broadcasters was founded. The early
participants were a combination of the pioneering community radio
stations along with community groups seeking to get on the
air."
